Select the ZK-STARK architecture; produce a threat model and privacy model; clearly explain what v1 hides and does not hide; complete Clarity feasibility analysis; estimate expected proof size, transaction count, verification cost, and runtime constraints; define the note, commitment, and nullifier model; document on-chain vs. off-chain responsibilities; define go/no-go criteria before continuing; complete an initial architecture review with the Stacks developer team.

Core Confidential sBTC Components and Testing Payout: $12,500 USD. Build a working proof generation flow; implement core spend/transfer logic; develop shielded-pool or confidential-transfer contract components; support a clearly scoped sBTC transaction path; document chained transaction flow design if required by Clarity constraints; complete unit and integration testing for the core components; publish developer-facing documentation for the core protocol; complete milestone review with the Stacks developer team.
End-to-End Confidential sBTC Transaction Demo and Continuation Roadmap
End-to-End Confidential sBTC Transaction Demo and Continuation Roadmap Payout: $17,500 USD. Demonstrate deposit → confidential spend → withdraw for sBTC on testnet; demonstrate the on-chain verification/settlement path; provide a working end-to-end protocol-level demo showing confidential sBTC transactions on Stacks; provide testing evidence for the end-to-end flow; make the codebase publicly or privately reviewable depending on the agreed NDA/review setup; document limitations, including what remains visible, linkable, and not private in v1; provide a continuation roadmap covering API/distribution plan, frontend/indexer/hosted app requirements, estimated remaining development work, ownership and maintenance plan, commercialization or fee model, likely first users or integration partners, next technical milestones, go-to-market path, and unresolved risks after the grant. M3 is expected to prove confidential sBTC transactions can work on Stacks at the protocol level; distribution readiness, APIs, partner integrations, and full platform launch may sit in the continuation roadmap rather than being required deliverables.
